23 x 30 cm

Acrylic on canvas.

This piece is built from printed and painted layers, pressed textures, and sponge-led marks. Teal and deep ocean blue hold the edges, while dusty pinks and soft mauves drift across the surface in imperfect, cellular shapes. White space is left deliberately, giving the work a sense of breath and suspension, like organisms floating in clear water.

The forms suggest plankton, seaweed, and small life that sits outside human scale. Nothing is outlined or fixed. Shapes overlap, fade, and reappear through the weave of the canvas, so the surface reads as both pattern and habitat. Texture is not decorative here, it is the subject. The work is about contact, pressure, imprint, and the way separate fragments can fit together without needing symmetry.
