London based contemporary mixed media artist

Emily Gray, working under the name Ghost Flower, is a London based contemporary artist. She has built a substantial body of work through sustained studio practice and exhibition experience. Her paintings often sit between the familiar and the strange, inviting the viewer into spaces that feel psychological, bodily and poetic. Colour, gesture and composition are central to her process, allowing each work to hold feeling as much as form.

Working across painting and mixed media, Emily creates pieces that feel intimate, dreamlike and emotionally charged. Bright, whimsical colour sits alongside fluid mark making, organic forms and layered surfaces. Her creation of Hybrid creatures and recurring motifs take viewers into a world of curiosity, introducing symbolism, movement and fragments of narrative that resist fixed interpretation.

Informed by studies in psychology and art therapy, her practice centres on the human condition and the complexity of emotional experience. She often uses action painting techniques as a way of responding physically to feeling, allowing emotion to move through the body and into the work.

Client testimonials

Cicelycbj - UK

"I absolutely loved the final piece and was so happy with the whole experience. I was sent three digital versions of my wedding painting to choose from, and each one was beautiful. Once I chose my favourite, the final piece was prepared as a framed physical artwork for me to gift to my husband. Such a thoughtful and professional service, and I would happily recommend it"

Puellanya - UK

"I absolutely love this portrait commission. I only chose the words, and the artist created the rest of the piece in a way that fit the brief perfectly. The final artwork has a beautiful abstract, melancholic feel, and I was really impressed with both the creativity and value. I would definitely recommend her work"

Wullpp - USA

"I am really happy with this portrait commission. I sent a photo and gave the artist creative freedom, asking only for the words “No Worries” to be included. The final piece was original, full of character, and exactly the kind of artwork I wanted to hang on my wall. I would happily recommend her work"
