Haunting

Corruption of one's thoughts led by mental illness. A face distorted by the illusion that all will not be okay. Tears flow and submerge all that is underneath to form what could be, an abstract expression of longing, longing for peace.
 
This abstract figure was created without intent to show pain, but more as an expression of movement and vulnerability of the artist. She has moved though pain creating marks and scattered shapes in order to follow her emotions and let the act of painting heal. Without failure painting has been an explorative medium for her to let go of tension of everyday experiences of depression and anxiety, although this piece seems morbid and hollow there is an underlying desire for something more than just pain.
